Close to Home

'Massacre' was the headline in my newspaper today. I live about 50 minutes from Blacksburg. It's like 9-11 all over again. It's that kind of devastation you know. Sadness, grief, pain and shock, rolled together and amplified. Are there even words to describe it all? The ramifications of this is worldwide. One is related to or knows a victim or one directly affected by it all. It's amazing how so many are connected. Time will tell, time will heal although this date will never go by again without vivid memories. Love, comfort, support, words from the heart and prayer is all that is left. Pray everyone, PRAY. Our God is greater.

Disgusting, isn't it? One of our local high schools was evacuated yesterday, too, because a 15 year old girl reported seeing a man with a gun. She made it up...

Hi Diana-thanks for saying hello on my blog-yeah, Blacksburg is my home and it has been turned upside down and it breaks my heart everywhere I look. We did know a few of the victims and one of the injured survivors and it is so terribly painful-but God IS greater and He is the the reason for the only bit of hope that I have. We spent the evening praying with friends-and it is all we can do. It was nice to hear from a sister in the Lord-maybe we will meet over some needles and yarn some day!
