One skein of KOIGU!

OK, gals let's come up with some ideas for one skein KOIGU projects!! The post below is a great one but I NEED more!

I know I don't have much anymore since finishing the Koigu Keepsake Shawl but I can fix that!!! I have only 3 full skeins ( I know solids but still Koigu) and partials and even snippets that are as little as a few inches long. Why keep those? I'm thinking of a quilted wall hanging, a landscape embellished with Koigu wildlife!! Get the wheels turning. Think of the benefits of one skein of Koigu can do for you! "I've never knit with KOIGU" you say. Oh, please make a mad dash to your local LYS or online (best bet is online) and get a skein or two or three or a many as you possibly can. Knit a shawl, sweater, scarf anything and you'll be hooked. Check here for the wide range of colors FoxyKnits Even the site has a couple Koigu books for scarves! We could be creative and use stitches to come up with our own scarf patterns. Oh Yes!

Could you make a pair of fall driving gloves with one skein?

um, baby hats comes to mind, any babies in your life these days?.. or hats for the neonatal department at your local hospital.

It could also be striped socks.. mix and match?

could it be kids socks? or slippers, or kids mits?

Well, with all your odds and ends this may help. Wendy (of Wendyknits) has a list of what you can make with two skiens of Koigu http://wendyknits.net/knit/koigupatterns.htm

Sounds interesting! I have seen socks done with leftovers and if the shades are complimentary, they look really good.

How about another shawl knit neck down (4 increases every other row) using your solids as stripes and the variegateds as blenders? I'm thinking something similar to my rag-tag afghans, but knit, probably in garter stitch. BTW, the Vision yarn I found at the garage sale yesterday is acrylic - perfect for a sweater for my grandson..

Besides little tidbits, like flowers and leaves for embellishments, one full skein would make a nice tam style hat!

Well, gee...maybe if you sent me a skein of Koigu, I could come up with a bunch of things to make from it. ;->

I like this shawl. It seems like it would be a nice easy way to use up single skeins and tidbits of skeins.
