Hands On Spinning and
Spinner's Companion. Do I need another? I had better get busy!

Books are a great help but IMHO 90% of spinning is experimentation and intuition. You'll do just fine :)
I know the group members who do this regularly will be a lot of help to you in picking up this skill!
